Url Forwarding

URL Forwarding works only if domain name is assigned to Regery DNS Provider.
By default URL Forwarding is disabled for your domains. In order to enable it two steps are required:
In Domains page for your domain open URL Forwarding.
Click Initialize Service button.

Click Link to Domain button. You will see next options:
URL Forwarding - will forward from your domain or subdomain to specified URL. This option is used for vast majority of Forwarding users.
Masked Redirect - will forward from your domain or subdomain and will keep your domain name in browser URL box.
Default template - creates empty entry that links domain or subdomain to URL Forwarding service. For advanced usage.
Click Link to Domain button and then URL Forwarding
Provide domain or subdomain name you want to forward from.
Provide destination URL you want to forward to. This string should start from http:// or https://. Example: https://another-host.com.
Choose redirection type:
temporal redirect (302) - this kind of redirect will not force browser to cache redirection result. This will allow to test redirection and creating not long lasting redirects without browser cache pollution. This option is processed slower because each time user clicks your links additional request to server is sent;
permanent redirect (301) - this kind of redirect forces browser to cache redirection results. Returning visitors of your link will see the redirection result much faster.
Click Continue button.
Resolve DNS conflicts if any occurs.

Click Link to Domain button and then Masked Redirect.
Provide domain or subdomain name you want to forward from.
Provide destination URL you want to forward to. This string should start from http:// or https://. Example: https://another-host.com.
Optionally provider Page Title, Description and Keywords for your page.
Click Continue button.
Resolve DNS conflicts if any occurs.

URL Forwarding during configuration setups required DNS resource records on you domain.
If same resource record already exists then DNS configuration may fail and conflict resolution would be required.
Conflict resolution generally means that redundant resource records are deleted.
Deletion is possible right from DNS conflicts resolution dialog (will appear automatically).

After initialization URL Forwarding may not start working instantly. DNS Propagation takes time, in rare cases up to 48 hours.
In order to delete URL Forwarding click ...Actions and then Delete button.

Open URL Forwarding.
Click Expand for the entry you want to edit.
Click Expand for the URL Action you want to edit.
Change Destination UR, Redirect Type parameters to the required
Click Save

Open URL Forwarding.
Click ...Actions and then Add Url Action. This will add another URL action for your domain or subdomain.
For newly created URL Action provide required path you want to redirect from
For newly created URL Action click Actions button and then click Add Url Redirect or Add Masked Redirect
Provide required parameters
Click Save button

Open URL Forwarding.
Click Expand for the entry you want to edit.
Click Remove button for the URL Action you want to delete
