How to Change Nameservers to Regery for Your .DK Domain

Updated over 3 months ago

At Regery, we're here to help you manage your domains smoothly, including those registered under country-specific registries like .dk. While .dk domains have unique management requirements, updating nameservers to use Regery is entirely possible with a few simple steps.

Please note: .DK domains are managed through DK Hostmaster, and Regery does not support direct updates for this TLD. Therefore, you’ll perform the changes using DK Hostmaster’s interface.

✅ Step-by-Step: Switching to Regery Nameservers for .DK Domains

1. Log In to DK Hostmaster's Self-Service Panel

Access your .dk domain settings via the self-service portal. Use your login credentials to sign in securely.

2. Pre-register the New Nameservers

Before making any changes, ensure that your domain is already registered and properly configured with your new nameserver provider (in this case, Regery).

DK Hostmaster verifies the responsiveness and correctness of nameservers before allowing changes. If your domain does not resolve correctly with the new servers, the update will fail.

3. Access the Direct Nameserver Change Link

To streamline the process, you can go directly to the update page by visiting the following URL: .dk self-service

Replace DOMAIN.DK with your actual domain name. This link takes you to the section where you can submit your new nameservers.

4. Ensure Zone Configuration Is Complete

Double-check that the new DNS zone is fully set up on Regery’s nameservers. This means:

  • The domain must resolve properly.

  • DNS records like A, MX, or CNAME should be configured in advance.

Incomplete DNS zones will result in validation errors during the update.

⚠️ Important Note

Because Regery cannot update .dk domains directly, if you encounter limitations or errors, we recommend using a DNS service like Cloudflare. Once your domain is successfully pointing to an active DNS provider, Regery can help you manage the DNS records from there.
