To transfer a domain name in the .uk zones to Regery, follow these steps:
Domain Search: Enter your domain name in the search bar on the Regery website and click on Search.
Initiate Transfer: On the results page, find your domain and select the Transfer option.
Check Domain Status: Ensure that the domain is not locked for transfer. This can typically be checked in the domain settings at your current registrar.
Payment for Transfer: Add the domain to your cart and proceed with the payment for the transfer service.
Change the IPS Tag: Contact your current registrar and request them to change the IPS tag to the one required by Regery. Once the IPS tag is updated, the transfer process will be completed.
Important
If you have not specified the IPS tag with your registrar that we provided for the transfer, the domain name will not begin transfer
Important Points:
Renewal: Be aware that free renewal on transfer is not provided in the .uk zones.
Ownership: The domain can only be transferred if you are the owner or an authorized person with a transfer code.
Duration: transfers usually occur instantly. Plan ahead for the transfer, especially if your domain is nearing its expiration date.
As soon as the IPS tag changes and this is reflected in the domain's WHOIS, within an hour the domain will change its status in our transfer control panel.
By following these steps, you can ensure a safe and effective transfer of your domain to a new registrar. This process is designed to be straightforward, but always double-check each step, especially the status and the IPS tag updates, to avoid delays.
