Let's take a detailed look at the process of managing DNS records on the Regery platform so that you can clearly understand each step.
Important: If you use external name servers, such as example.ns.cloudflare.com
or example2.ns.cloudflare.com
, DNS records from Regery will not work for your domain. To activate and use DNS records from Regery, you need to switch to Regery NS or Regery Premium NS. You can do this in the Actions -> Set Name Servers section. Or you need to specify DNS records in cloudflare or your DNS provider.
Managing DNS Records on the Regery Platform
1.Logging In:
First and foremost, you need to log into your account on the official Regery website. This is the initial step, without which further management of records is not possible.
2.Navigating to the Domains Section:
On the control panel, select the Domains section. Here, all the domains registered to your account are displayed.
3.Selecting a Domain:
Scroll through the list to the desired domain and click on the Actions button next to its name. This will allow you to proceed to managing settings for the selected domain.
4.Managing DNS Records:
In the dropdown menu, select the DNS Records option. This will redirect you to the DNS record management section for the selected domain.
5.Adding a New Record:
To add a new record, click on Add New Record. You will see a list of record types that you can create:
A: assigns an IP address to the domain.
AAAA: assigns an IPv6 address to the domain.
ALIAS: allows the domain to mimic another domain at the DNS level.
CNAME: points to another domain instead of IP addresses.
CAA: specifies which certificate authorities can issue certificates for the domain.
MX: defines mail servers for receiving email.
NS: defines name servers that manage the domain.
TXT: can contain arbitrary text, often used to verify domain ownership or to configure email server policies.
SRV: defines the location of servers for specific services.
6.Saving Changes:
After selecting the necessary type of record and filling out the corresponding fields, press the Save button. This will apply the new settings to your domain.
7.Helpers:
When you hover your mouse over resource records and certain fields, tooltips will appear. These tooltips help you better understand the content and functions of each element. Use them for more effective use of our resource and quick access to the information you need.
Managing DNS records through Regery is not only intuitive but also provides you with flexibility in configuring your domain's operation according to your requirements. By following these steps, you will be able to effectively administer DNS settings, which is key to the successful operation of your web space
