Why is it Important to Backup Websites?
In today’s world, data is no longer just information; it is a valuable asset that can determine the success or failure of a business. Databases hold critically important data about products, clients, and operations of a company. Losing such information can lead to financial losses, a decline in customer trust, and other negative outcomes. That’s why regular backup creation is a crucial aspect of data management.
Backing up your databases helps prevent data loss in cases of:
Virus and malware attacks. Viruses can damage or completely destroy data, leaving your business without essential information.
Errors in code or updates that can cause system failures or data loss.
Server crashes or other technical failures that could result in unforeseen data loss.
Website recovery after accidental deletion of files or databases, which could happen due to human error or incorrect system settings.
In this article, we’ll discuss how to efficiently and safely create backups of your website using the Regery platform. We’ll explain how to download a backup of your database locally, how to work with the phpMyAdmin interface for backup import, and the steps to ensure that your information is restored correctly and without losses.
Now, let's go through the steps to backup a website on the Regery platform.
